RCV Buckinghamshire Branch

The RCV Buckinghamshire Branch is a well established group with a lively mix of members and volunteers. Some of our successful partnerships include: scrabble; chess; languages; gardening and computing. We have a monthly pub lunch and other social events for members and volunteers.

Aylesbury     

"Gone fishin'..." Does that sound good to you? If so, would you like to go fishing with a chap in Aylesbury? He has lots of experience and equipment so whether you're an expert or a beginner, you may learn something new too!

 

Digital photography - can you frame, download and edit? Could you offer support to someone wanting to take digital photos and download them?

 

Pub lunch buddy  - would you like to come to our monthly pub lunches and befriend a delightful chap who needs a little extra support.

 

Do you like history? Would you enjoy exchanging ideas and knowledge about Ancient Civilisations? It could be over a coffee, whilst watching a programme on the History Channel together?  If so, we know someone who would like to talk with you!

 

Do you enjoy using a PC? Do you know your bits from your bytes? Would you enjoy helping someone get more out of their PC.

 

Cafe, coffee and conversation? Do you know the value of a listening ear? A young, determined lady in Aylesbury would like to meet up for coffee and a chat in the town centre.

 

Music please - Digital sound recording!

Do you have the knowhow to record and arrange music digitally? A young chap would like help to record versions of some of his favourite songs.

 

Enjoy pool, darts or tennis?

Can you help a fellow who would love to join you in one of these activities?

 

Green fingers?

Could you talk horticulture and join a chap in his drives to local garden centres?

 

Stoke Mandeville     

Befriender  - do you know the value of a listening ear? Would you enjoy visiting a lady in Stoke Mandeville for tea and a chat and maybe trips out?

           

Wendover     

Do you ever watch the 'Sign Zone?' Interested in communicating with deaf people? A young deaf man in Wendover would like a friend to chat with - he uses a Lightwriter -and can sign/lip read so it's easy and fun  to communicate. He also enjoys playing computer games.
