The Swimming Sessions are undertaken at Swadlincote.

I'm 55 years old, married with three children and one grandchild.

I've worked for RCV for four and a half years as the swimming co-ordinator for South Derbyshire and I am about to take on the role as Project Co-ordinator for South Derbyshire, which I am really looking forward to as it will get up and around the area meeting people.

Previously I have spent time working at the local leisure centre as a receptionist , and previous to that I spent fifteen years in retail as a department manager.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming, walking and socialising with friends, I also belong to the local Inner Wheel group [female half of the Rotary] for whom I was President for the last two years,. . . . we raise money for various local, British and International charities.

Volunteers are needed for:

Burton/Derby - Do you enjoy your golf or snooker? Would you like to share your enthusiasm with a gentleman in the Findern area? Volunteer driver required to go to the driving range or to play snooker. No moving or handling required.

Burton - Do you enjoy swimming? Could you help & support a gentleman with slight physical disability, no moving or handling required?

Derby - Do you enjoy playing dominoes or walking? Male volunteer required to assist a gentleman wheelchair user who also has a communication difficulty.

Swadlincote - Do you enjoy dog walking? Patient & reliable volunteer required to support a lady to walk her dog. No moving or handling required.

Swadlincote - Do you enjoy swimming? Would you like to help others? Male and female volunteers required for the disabled swimming session at Greenbank Leisure Centre on Wednesday afternoons
