Imagine meeting up with your friends for dinner after work, only to find that you can’t get your wheelchair through the doors of the restaurant. Imagine going into your local for a pint and everyone staring at you, because you’re on your own.  Imagine relying on someone else to take you to appointments, buy your groceries and cook your dinner.

Being able to do what you want to, when you want to, is really one of life’s simple pleasures, and one that most of us take for granted.  How easy do you think it would be to develop a network of friends if you don’t work... because you can’t; don’t play sport ...because you can’t; and don’t see people outside of home... because you can’t?
