Leisure

A huge range of leisure interests is on offer. RCV helps people enjoy life to the full.

Learning

Always wanted to learn a new skill? Whether for pleasure or with a serious purpose in mind, the sense of achievement can be tremendous.

Sport

Activities to improve and maintain fitness levels either within a dedicated session at a local leisure centre or on a one to one basis.

Social

Typically, pub lunches, visits to places of interest and boat trips.
Activities

RCV gives disabled people the freedom to choose their own leisure activity and will encourage each person to take up an interest they will find fun and fulfilling - perhaps to realise a long held ambition or re-kindle an old interest.

Some might choose an academic route or decide to learn something from the world of arts and crafts. Sport is always a popular if challenging activity, and can maintain or improve fitness levels for participants. Although swimming is the most popular sport people also go riding, work out in the gym, go sailing or play bowls.

The venue will depend on the chosen interest and if the activity necessitates going out of the home the volunteer will be trained to ensure the trip is a safe and enjoyable experience for all concerned.
